BASEBALL BOBBING HEAD BOXES

** We appeared show this past weekend at the Philly Expo Center in Oaks Pennsylvania. The hall was magnificent and the dealer turnout was great. Unfortunately, the attendance was lacking and most of the dealers did not have good shows. We have high hopes for this show and will attend again in November. Hopefully many of you will come too.**

BASEBALL BOBBING HEAD BOXES

We have been asked numerous times about the value of the bobbing head boxes. As opposed to many collectibles, most of the boxes for bobbing heads have very little value. With the exception of a few, most of the boxes are generic. In the case of the baseball doll boxes, the Green, Gold amd Mini's are all in generic boxes that picture a bobbing head on the front label. On either the top or the bottom of the box, the team name will be stamped or will appear on a paper label. The boxes are all the same with the exception of the team names. These boxes will increase the value of the doll minimally- usually in the range of $10- $25.

The White base boxes are the exception to the rule. These boxes actually picture the doll (in cartoon fashion) on the front label. These boxes are all different and can increase the value of the doll by  $75- $125 depending on condition and the team.

The boxes of both the Mickey Mantle & Roger Maris bobbing heads also will increase the value. On both their standard and minaiture boxes - the images of Mantle & Maris appear. These boxes (depending on condition) can sell for anywhere from $150 - $300. The Clemente and Mays boxes are generic, but still have significant value of about $50- $75.

Although they do not command a great value, they can be used beautifully to compliment any bobbing head collection.
