ITPC FALL 2020 SPORTS MEMORABILIA AUCTION
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/5/2020
We haven't seen one of these magnificent statues in many years. It's part of a series of college football mascots made by an unknown company circa 50's sometimes referred to as Family Portraits. This Pitt Panther measures a little more than 12" tall. It was carved out of a single block of wood and painted beautifully to reflect the team colors. The tail in the back is chipped off. These statues are even more defined than the Carter-Hoffman series. The statues in this series are all considered rare and this one is an absolute beauty.
