ITPC WINTER 2012 SPORTS MEMORABILIA AUCTION -253 LOTS
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2012
This classic looking baseball game was issued by Pressman Toys in the early 60's- shortly after Roger Maris broke the home run record of Babe Ruth. It's a mechanical game. A marble is pitched by one player. The ball is hit into a variety of holes that have the results of the hit. The box cover is special. It shows Maris swinging and is made to look like the front page of a newspaper. The box top has some split corners and one apron has some cardboard loss. It still displays nicely. The board has a caricature of Maris with his facsimile autograph. The bat is not in working order and the pegs and marble balls (generic) are not present. It a wonderful display piece.
