INSIDE THE PARK COLLECTIBLES SPRING 2008 AUCTION
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 4/5/2008
This handsome post card is a wonderful tribute to the 1906 National League Champion Chicago Cubs. The back shows a period dressed woman holding a pennant with the engraving "Cubs- 1906". That year the cubs would go 116-36 before losing the the White Sox in the World Series. The Cubs were led by the legendary trio of Tinkers, Evers & Chance. The card is made of leather and shows some discoloration along the border. The front is addressed and dated 1906. A very cool old piece.
