We have exhausted our efforts to find out exactly what this great statue represents. The ball has the engraved lettering "REDS", but we can find no historical reference to connect the Indian mascot. The piece is dated 1910 with the maker name (Claudel Ottman) on the back of the ball. The only thing we do know, is that it is a wonderful piece that will make for long conversation. There is a nick on the nose of this chalkware piece and a few scattered small areas of paint loss. It still displays beautifully. A must for any baseball historian.
