In the early 60's, there was a series of plastic baseball Hall of Fame busts issued by Cooperstown. The following year there was a proposal to issue a similar line of NFL statues that would be of All-Stars. As far as we know, the project was scraped and only a Jim Brown statue is known to exist(it sold in auction several years ago for over $1,700). The proposed series was advertised in an NFL merchandising book (see pictures below) and would have included statues of Y.A. Tittle, Jimmy Brown, Del Shofner, Rosey Brown, Mike Ditka, Joe Schmidt, Paul Hornung, Jerry Kramer, Johnny Unitas, Jim Parker, Jim Ringo and Jim Taylor. Unfortunately for all of us- the statues were never issued.

This pot metal bust was the mold that would have cast the Jim Taylor statue. It stands about 6" tall. It has oxidized with patina covering the statue. This is truly a one of a kind piece.
