60's CHALLENGE THE YANKEES GAME w/CARDS

This is one of the most sought after post-war baseball board games in the hobby. It's called Challenge the Yankees and was issued by Hasbro in 1964 & 1965. The box cover features an amazing litho of the old Yankee Stadium and 3 players (Mantle, Howard & Tresh). The games accessories are equally impressive. There are 25 player cards of the New York Yankees and 25 All-Star player cards(this version includes Del Crandall wearing a SF hat making this the 1964 game). Each card has a picture of the player and a brief bio. There are also result cards, a game board and scoreboard. The box cover does show useage - with split corners and a small piece of the apron missing. The player cards are mostly in very good condition with a few having notations written on them. Overall it's a fabulous display piece and a must for any game or baseball collector.
