This amazing looking ashtray is again from Fred Kail's personal collection. It is essentially an Artist Proof which was personally cast and hand-painted by Mr. Kail. The stadium ashtray is vintage to the early 60's, with the figurine being a more recent casting. This Redskin statue and ashtray are a magnificent combination. The uniform color and helmet design are "spot on" perfection. The vintage ceramic ashtray is in near mint condition and signed by Mr. Kail on the underneath side. The figurine is also signed by Mr. Kail.

IN THE WORDS OF FRED KAIL:

"I deplored the Japanese recasting of my original figures by Santa Claus Programs, especially the 5" miniaturized version with sunken chest. Never having the opportunity of approving the 1960 production, I recreated the 5" figure as I felt it should be. Aside from a much more accurately detailed figure, note the chin strap wich is actually attached opposed to the Japanese version. The stadium ashtray was literally their idea. I had no voice in what they had done. My contract simply released my original figure to their discretion. A lesson, I've since learned never to happen again"
