Many collectors do not realize that there was a series of baseball statues done by artist Fred Kail in the late 50's/early 60's. This statue is of the Philadelphia Phillies. It's about 8.5" tall and in excellent plus condition. Although it is free-standing, this statue would have originally been mounted on a porcelain ash tray. It displays beautifully on its own. The Kail baseball statues are all considered rare.
