1954 1st ISSUE OF SPORTS ILLUSTRATED w/BASEBALL CARDS

Sports Illustrated dated August 16, 1954. It features Eddie Mathews on the cover. There are loads of great articles and pictures within, but the highlight of the magazine was the inclusion of a trifold sheet showing Topps baseball cards. Notable cards include Ted Williams, Willie Mays, Duke Snider, Jackie Robinson and Eddie Mathews. There is some clear tape on the back over edges, we have no idea why? Overall it's in excellent condition.
