ITPC APRIL 2014 SPORTS MEMORABILIA BLOW-OUT AUCTION
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 4/4/2014
In 1946 a new professional football league was launched to do battle with the long-established National Football League (NFL). This league, the All-America Football Conference (AAFC), included eight teams — an Eastern Division with three teams based in the state of New York and another in Miami, and a Western Division with teams in Cleveland, Chicago, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. The AAFCs Southern California franchise, which was to compete directly with the newly relocated Los Angeles Rams of the NFL, was known as the Los Angeles Dons. This program is from that first year of the AAFC and was for game played in L.A. between the L.A. Dons and the New York Yankees. There's loads of pictures and articles. The program shows some wear, but overall is in excellent condition.
