1956 MICKEY MANTLE "BIG LEAGUE STARS" STATUE

The Big League Stars statue set was issued in 1956 and included 18 then current player statues. As is usually the case, the Mickey Mantle statue is the most sought after. Mantle is portrayed "dragging a bunt", even though 1956 would be his finest year slugging - as he would win the coveted "Triple Crown". the statue is made of hard plastic and has his name embossed on the base. It stands 2.5" tall and is in near mint condition. It's a very hard to find piece.
