This is a 1941 set of 3 Metal Rittgers Baseball Players. It consists of a pitcher, a batter and an umpire.There made of painted metal. The pitcher is 7 1/2" high, the batter 7 3/4" and the ump 6 1/2" and together the three figures weigh almost 4 1/2 pounds. There is paint loss on all three, which is to be expected given the age but no damage otherwise. The figures will all stand up by themselves but really are not steady and should be fastened to a board as they once were for each has holes drilled in the feet for screws. On the feet reads Rittgers 1941. Can these be some form of prototype?
