This plaster prototype was found in the Eddie Stanky estate and are a tremendous addition to the figural sports world. They were crafted by artist Albert Pettito in his studios in Hudson MA. This proposed series was chronicled in the July 1949 edition of Baseball Digest in an article titled "Braves Busting Out all Over". This Eddie Stanky bust is made of plaster and stands about 5" tall. His name is embossed on the base. The detail of this statue is superb. The brim of the hat does have some chipping, but it will displays nicely.
