This tin plaque bears the name of a hardware store in St.Louis. It has a verse from the famous Grantland Rice poem titled "Alumnus Football". It reads "For when the One Great Scorer comes to write against your name he writes - Not that you won or lost- but how you played the game." It measures 6.25" x 9.25" and is circa early 20th century. There is some discoloration and light scratching, but it still displays nicely. A very interesting piece.
