The 1931 St. Louis Cardinals season was the team's 50th season in St. Louis, Missouri and the 40th season in the National League. The Cardinals went 101-53 during the season and finished first in the National League. In the World Series, they beat the Philadelphia Athletics in 7 games. This vintage chalk ware statue was issued to honor that great team. It stands about 11.5" tall and has embossed lettering on the ball and base. There is some light paint loss on the back feathers of his tail and head, but otherwise it is bright & clean and in excellent plus condition. This is a beauty!
