Here's the very first issue of Sports Illustrated dated August 16, 1954. the front cover shows Eddie Mathews swinging a bat. There are many great articles, but the real highlight is a tri-fold foldout of topps baseball cards.There are many great stars represented in these cards including Hall of Famers Willie Mays, Ed mathews, Duke Snider, Richie Ashburn, Jackie Robinson, Larry Doby and Ted Williams. The cards are shown front and back. There is some light discoloration along the borders of the inside pages, but overall it is in excellent plus condition.
