Mickey Mantle printing plate. This was the cover of the Newsday Newspaper cover on Monday Augest 14th, 1995. Mickey Charles Mantle (October 20, 1931 – August 13, 1995) He played his entire 18-year Major League Baseball career for the New York Yankees as an outfielder and first baseman. He won 3 American League MVP titles and played in 16 All-Star games. Mantle appeared in 12 World Series, winning 7 of them. The printing plate is made of tin and measures 14.5" by 21.0".
