60's NEW ORLEANS SAINTS "MERGER SERIES" BOBBING HEAD w/BLACK HELMET

This doll is from the NFL Merger Series of the late 60's. It's of the New Orleans Saints. This is the hard to find "black helmet" version (also came gold) and it is one of the key dolls of the series. The doll has nice coloring and strong decals. Although it displays nicely, there are some flaws. There is some paint loss on his chin strap. There is also some flaking of paint around his ankles. It's still a very good looking doll.
