This bank is of the NE Louisiana State College Indians (school changed name to University of Louisiana at Monroe). The team name has since changed fro the Indians to the more politically correct Warhawks*. This bank shows a football player carrying a megaphone in one hand. The megaphone has the team name (Indians) painted on it. There is some scattered paint wear, but it still displays nicely.

*The 75-year-old "Indians" mascot was retired because of NCAA restrictions against American Indian-themed mascots, considered "hostile and abusive" to Native Americans. A mascot committee selected Warhawks in 2006  honoring Maj. Gen. Claire Lee Chennault's Air Force World War II unit's Curtiss P-40 Warhawk, although the logos primarily use bird imagery.
