ITPC's FALL 2010 SPORTS MEMORABILIA AUCTION
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/13/2010
We are very excited to be offering this oddball N.Y. Mets doll(and the next lot with the Yankee). We haven't seen one of these in years. It is the belief of most collectors that these are rougue dolls and not part of any series. They were probably just made for the two N.Y. teams and sold at their respective stadiums. In the case of this Met doll, we feel it dates back to their days of playing at the Polo Grounds(1962-64). The doll has an attched N.Y. Mets pin in the center of his chest. The chest was designed to hold this pin. The doll has bright coloring with only a light hairline on the side of his head. There was a minor touch-up of the brim of the hat. It's a super rare doll and one you may not see for awhile.
