ITPC WINTER 2010 SPORTS MEMORABILIA AUCTION
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/6/2010
Here's one of the rarest Hartland oddball items in the hobby. It's an ashtray with an attached Mickey Mantle Hartland statue. These ashtrays were given to distribitors of Yoo-Hoo. Although Yogo Berra was the main endorsor of the product, Mickey Mantle also endorsed Yoo-Hoo in the early 60's. We know of only two Berra ashtrays and this is the first Mantle that we've ever seen. It came from a former president of Yoo-Hoo.
The tray was made by The Hyde Park company and is stamped on the bottom "No. 1970". The statue is glued on a hard base with an "M" embossed in the center. We do not know if this was to signify "Mantle", but one of the known Berra ashtrays does have a "B" in the center. There is a nick on the top border of the tray, but overall it is in excellent condition. Please do not miss this opportunity to own this truly rare piece of Mantle memorabilia- you may never see another.
The last two pictures are of Yoo-Hoo items picturing Mantle. The last picture is of a send-away insert that was included in 6-packs of Yoo-Hoo. They are not included in this lot.
