In 1945 in an attempt to gain fan support, the Philadelphia Phillies ran a contest for a new team name and insignia. The name "Blue Jays" was picked and although they were never officially called that, the bird logo did appear on their uniform, programs, and even pennants. The idea was dropped and the unpopular logo was not used in subsequent years.

This pennant is from that year. It measures 22.75" long. It has bright coloring. The tip is slightly frayed, but overall it's in excellent plus condition.
