This doll comes from a very rare series issued in the early/mid 60's that is commonly referred to as Dodger Weirdo's. They feature very comical baseball themes and oddball characters. This doll we call "Screw Ball" and this is the much harder to find black face version. He carries a bat in one hand and a baseball with a small screw in it in another. He would have originally come with a hang tag with a funny saying. There is some fading to the lettering on the chest and it appears as though there was some restoration to the rim of the head. It displays beautifully.
