This wood carved statue was made by a competitor of Carter-Hoffman called ANRI(for more information about them-see our Blog). They are so close in design that many collectors are fooled by them. They are, in their own right, very special statues that are not easy to find. This Notre Dame mascot dog appeared on many of their old programs of the 40's/50's and was the mascot until 1965. It's an Irish Setter that wears a hat with a "4 leaf clover" painted on both sides. It measures 5" tall. there are a few light scuffs, but overall it is in excellent plus condition.
