1965 CHALLENGE THE YANKEES GAME - MUST SEE!

Of all the post-war baseball board games, this game may be the most sought after by collectors- and for good reason- it's awesome. Let's start off with the box cover. It has a gorgeous airial drawing of the old Yankee Stadium (prior to it's 70's renovation). It also has color action drawings of 3 of their mid 60's stars- Mickey Mantle, Tom Tresh and Elston Howard. The cover alone makes for an incredible display. When you open the box and reveal its contents you'll be struck by a beautiful game board and scoreboard. It also comes with playing instructions, result cards, score cards and plastic moveable pegs. But wait, here's the best part. There are 50 player photo cards (25 Yankees and 25 All-Star players). This is the 1965 version(it was also made in 1964 with slightly different player cards) and the Yankees cards include such notables as Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris and Whitey Ford. All Star cards include Hall of Famers Aaron, Santo, Yastzemski, Kaline, Mazeroski, Mathews, McCovey and Marichal. The cards are mostly in excellent condition. The box top has taped corners and wear, but it still displays nicely. It's just a magnificent game.
