ITPC HOLIDAY SPORTS MEMORABILIA AUCTION - ENDS 12/6/13-300 LOTS!
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/7/2013
In the mid 60's with the Viet Nam War raging, toy companies in an effort to get more politically correct started getting away from miltary toys. This outfit was for the "anti-G.I. Joe" doll named Johnny Hero - a 12" action figure that could be dressed in baseball and football uniforms. This Red Sox outfit was part of the Major League Baseball series. The outfit included jersey, pants, batting helmet, socks, stir-ups, spikes, bal, bat and glove. This example is still sealed in its original window box (rare) and although there are a few condition issues with the box- it is still in excellent condition. A very cool series!
