This was the 29th Title game in history and was between the Eastern Conference Champs (Giants) and the Western Conference Champs (Packers). This game was played on December 31st, 1961. The Green Bay Packers defeated the New York Giants, 37-0 in this very first championship game to be played in Green Bay, at 'New' City Stadium, which eventually became known as Lambeau Field. The Packers will go on to win 4 more championship titles in a 6 year span.
