Harold "Hal" Janvrin had a very undistiguished baseball career that spanned 10 years. He played for the Red Sox, Senators Cardinals and Dodgers from 1911 through 1922 (missed 1918). His life-time batting avreage was .232. For some reason, this statue imortalized him. It is stamped 1916 on the bottom of the base and is copyrighted Donnie Curran. The statue stands about 10.5" tall and is a chalk ware composition. It is a terrific caricature of Janvrin. There is some chipping on the hat, one ear and the base- but it still displays nicely. It's a terrific piece for any baseball historian.
