THE PASSING OF HARMON KILLEBREW

The baseball world was saddened to hear of the passing of Harmon Killebrew. It got us to thinking about how few of Hartland's Original 18 are still with us. When I started collecting Hartlands in the early 80's, the only member of this club (besides Ruth) who had died was Nellie Fox. Since that time 8 more of my heroes are gone leaving only Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Stan Musial, Ernie Banks, Yogi Berra,Luis Aparicio, Rocky Colavito and Dick Groat.Although they are getting older and many have passed, their legacy will live on forever because of the Hartland series.
