This incredible figurine is part of a series of rare baseball statues made in Italy.  These statues came with either blue or red uniforms. They are made of paper-mache and some are stamped "Italy" on the bottom. This one is of a batter and is the only figure that was made as a black player. There is some light paint wear on the base. It is in excellent plus condition. If you like baseball figurines- this is a must-have for any collection.
