WOW! Here's the entire set of 18 Big League Stars statues issued in 1956. The amazing thing is that all are still sealed on their original cards. As hard as the statues are to find- the cards are nearly impossible. Each statue is made of hard plastic with the name of the player embossed on the front of the base. This set is identical to the Dairy Queen/Tasti Freeze set with the exception that these are painted gold instead of white. The DQ/Tasti Freeze statues were sold loose and had no cards. This complete set includes statues of Mickey Mantle, Yogi Berra, Gil Hodges, Pee Wee Reese, Roy Campanella, Junior Gilliam, Ed Mathews, Stan Musial, Duke Snider, Larry Doby, Bob Lemon, Al Rosen, Bobby Avila, Mickey Vernon, Harvey Kuenn, Del Ennis, Minnie Minoso and John Antonelli. The statues are sealed within a plastic bubble and attached to a card. The verso side of the card pictures the player and gives his lifetime stats. The cards do show some wear and the usual warping. All the statues appear mint with the exception of Snider & Doby whose bats are cracked off.
