In the 1939 World Series, The New York Yankees pummeled the Cincinnati Reds in a four-game sweep. Bolstered by greats like Lou Gehrig, Frank Crosetti, Joe DiMaggio, Lefty Gomez and Red Ruffing. The Yankees outscored the Reds 20-8 in four games. Offered here and we believe is a 1939 original 8" x 10" photograph of the World Champion New York Yankees team. The front image displays "The New York Yankees" text across the top with "1939 World Champions - the only team ever to win four world's championships in succession.  Printed across the bottom by row lists the team players which include Gehrig, Dimaggio, Ruffing, Dickey, Gomez ect. The photo has some wear and light creasing as well as tape and writing on the reverse. It's in good condition.
