ITPC SUMMER 2021 SPORTS MEMORABILIA AUCTION
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/26/2021
On May 7, 1959, the Los Angeles Dodgers and their fans paid tribute to their great, fallen catcher, Roy Campanella. A year earlier, Campanella was driving home when his car hit an ice patch and hit a telephone pole, breaking the catcher's neck and leaving him paralyzed from the shoulders down. To help honor Campanella and help pay his medical bills, the team held an exhibition game at the Los Angeles Coliseum against the New York Yankees. This stub is from that game. It does have some creasing and writing on the verso side. This is not an easy ticket to find and a must for any baseball ticket collector.
