This historic program hails the grand re-opening of Fenway Park and the debut of "The Green Monster." As to Fenway Park history, Beantown's legendary stadium initially had bleachers along the left-field line. But a small fire on May 8, 1926 left only charred remains. Team owner John Quinn didn't have the money to rebuild the stands, so the necessary renovations would not take place until Tom Yawkey assumed ownership in 1933. Incredibly, during that revitalization project, a second fire ignited. This one burned for five hours and required a massive structural overhaul of the stadium-a construction project that ultimately gave birth to Fenway's famous left-field green monster. The 24-page program for the Red Sox vs. Washington Senators game is scored and in vg condition. VERY RARE!
