60's RUMPUS ROOM BOBBING HEAD - THE GOLFER

This great looking nodder is from a hysterical series commonly referred to as "Rumpus Room" dolls. They were made by a company called St. Pierre & Patterson in the early 60's an there are over 25 different dolls in the series. This funny character is a golfer with a ball stuck in his mouth. His base decal reads "I only said 'Putt up'" This is an unusual variation, as most seen have a square wooden base (see the next 4 lots)- while this one is round and made of paper-mache. There's a surface scratch on the left side of his head, but otherwise it is in excellent plus condition.
