ITPC WINTER 2009 SPORTS MEMORABILIA AUCTION
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/14/2009
This two piece statue set was made by the legendary L.L. Rittgers. This company is famous for making comical chalkware sports and non-sport statues. This et depicts a football scene where the tackler has literally pulled the pants off the runner. They are each dated 1941 and were one of the first sets issued by Rittgers. The tackler has a small nick under one shoe that cannot be seen when displayed. The ball carrier has scattered nicks and paint loss on his feet and hand, but still displays beautifully. They are both bright and clean. These statue will compliment any sports figural collection.
