ITPC END OF YEAR SPORTS MEMORABILIA AUCTION- 225 LOTS
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/1/2012
Because of the Vietnam War's unpopularity, military toys started to become politically incorrect during that time period. "Johnny Hero" was a 12" doll that competed with G.I. Joe to grab the more liberal parents of young boys. Johnny Hero was to be dressed in a variety of baseball & football team outfits. This L.A. Dodgers outfit was part of their Major League Baseball series. The outfit is complete with jersey, pants, socks, stir-ups, hat, spikes, bat, ball & glove. It is still sealed in it's original box. Finding these outfits in their original window boxes is a very difficult task. The jersey shows some minor discoloration and the box has its usual crease and dents. It still displays very nicely.
