L.L. Rittgers may be the most copied sports artist in the hobby. There are many examples of this baseball theme produced using many different compositions. This set is wood carved and spectacular. Many believe that these wooden "Rittgers knock-offs" may have been prototypes or salesman's samples, but we'll just call them amazing copies. They are brilliantly carved and painted with almost exact facial features. The largest statue stands about 8.5" tall. They would all grade near mint. we have seen other individual examples, but never the complete set made of wood. A must have for any advanced collectors of Rittgers or sports figurals.
