This statue is part of a series of wood carved collehge mascot statues issued by Anri (of Italy) in the 50's. Anri was the chief competitor of Carter-Hoffman who produced similar statues that were usually sold in the college stores. They compare very favorably to the Carter-Hoffman series and are usually much cheaper although in our opinion- equally as nice. This one is of the mascot of NYU. It has fabulous coloring and is in pristine mint condition. We took the statue out of the box for the first time for the purpose of taking the pictures. it comes with its box and tissue paper wrapping.You will not find a nicer example.
