ITPC JUNE 2013 SPORTS MEMORABILIA AUCTION- 300 LOTS
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/22/2013
Here's an incredible looking porcelain bank from the "Gibbs-Conner" series of the 50's. It celebrates the 1955 National League Champion Brooklyn Dodgers. This team would eventaully make history as the only World Championship team in Brooklyn. It shows their mascot 'bum" catching a ball. The large sized ball acts as a coin recepticle and has the year and the Brooklyn "B" embossed in the front. The base reads "N.L. Champions". The bank has super bright coloring. There is a smudge of factory blue paint on the base, but otherwise it is near mint. A must have for any fan of the Dodgers or figural sports collector.
