ITPC 2018 HOLIDAY SPORTS MEMORABILIA AUCTION
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/8/2018
Each year, the Philadelphia Inquirer would run a contest with winners receiving a trip to that year's World Series(1912= N.Y. Giants vs Boston Red Sox). They would also receive souvenirs to take on the trip. This lot includes a full-sized pennant, a miniature bat and small-sized baseball. The pennant measures about 26.5" long. It has incredible stitched in lettering. It still has nice coloring and the tassels are still intact (although one is slightly shortened). The bat has an attached ribbon that promotes the 1912 tour from New York to Boston. We are not 100% sure that the ball was included, but the red & blue stitching dates it back to the time period. This is a wonderful lot for any collector of pennants or World Series history.
